In five years' time, thegreatsze hopes to be able to understand anime RAWs without subtitles.
Several Japanese-speaking exponents have been kind enough to sign on to this blog as contributors. They are:
YJ: Finishing up his postgraduate studies in Tokyo at the moment, kare no kanojo wa nihongo ga ichibandesu. An expert in Japanese and Chinese history, both classical and modern. thegreatsze's one-time tennis partner.
Hiyoko: YJ no kanojo ga, Taiwan karadesu. Kanojo wa totemo kireii mo yasashii mo desu. Sara ni, she is perfectly fluent in Japanese. Perfectly. Which, really, is just perfect for the rest of us here.
Michael Tay: Lived in Japan for seven years and graduated from Todai with a computer engineering degree (examination was in Japanese). Does not like to be typecast, but his nanpa skills are the stuff of legend. Works in the same organization as thegreatsze.
DSun: The highest scoring PSLE student in his school, DSun completed Japanese at "O" Levels as a third language. Very, very intelligent, but indulges in false modesty. Was thegreatsze's ex-classmate in JC and at university, and also the guitarist in their band.
yusuke: A fellow seito of the Japanese language, yusuke has the advantage of actually looking Japanese. Seriously. Incidentally, yusuke is the best tennis player that thegreatsze has ever played with.
Zu31G: A long-time friend, Zu31G has been studying the Japanese language tokidoki since his National Service days. Currently residing in a godforsaken region in America, Zu31G engages in regular Japanese intercouse to stay sharp.
This list is expected to grow.
